When words aren't enough, there's always music and singing! We at Christ Lutheran Church embrace our Lutheran tradition of singing and celebrate the gifts of song and music that God gives us. Our worship involves ancient hymns, a masterful organ, beautiful pianos, guitars, flutes, and Christian rock. Music is an awesome way to proclaiming and share God's love for us - and we do so every chance we get.
Music and Singing During the Pandemic
One way we pray together is through our collective singing. But we've discovered that singing is one of the easiest ways to transmit the coronavirus. We continue to review the best science available to keep our community safe. For the forseeable future, signing at CLC will be restricted. During in-person worship, David Scance and Argine Safari will be the only ones singing. They remain at a safe distance while leading us in song. Congregational singing is restricted. Lyrics are printed in our bulletin and you are invited to reflect on them during worship. For our online worship, David and Argine play and sing. We invite you to sing along as loud as you can. We help you do that by having the words appear on the screen. This policy of how we handle signing at CLC is always being reviewed and updated. We'll continue to be faithful and safe!
Chancel Choir
The Chancel (adult) choir is led by our Director of MusicArgine Safari and is full of dedicated volunteers. During the pandemic, they are occasionally rehearsing outdoors while also gathering together online. Using software, individual voices are mixed to create choir anthems to play during our online worship. All who love to sing are welcome to join! Please contact Argine atarginesafari@gmail.com.
